When it comes to starting a career in IT, it’s all about getting certified. Employers like to see candidates that are officially certified, as it shows them that they’re dealing with someone who knows the ‘ins and outs’ required.
For example, it’s very common for programmer vacancies to require that applicants are Python certified (which is a popular programming language).

The great part about getting any IT-related certificate is that almost all of them can be studied online remotely. This is great news for people who work other jobs or simply don’t have time to attend college and university campuses.
2. Consider a Degree
If you’re someone who is younger and has yet to officially enter any industry, then it’s a good idea to study a full-time university degree in the IT field, such as data science.
Often, whilst studying, universities will provide their IT students with work placements so that they can gain practical experience at the same time.
If the university you enroll with doesn’t offer this, then you can look for opportunities yourself.
3. Look for Internships

If you’re someone who has a passion to be a games developer, then it’s recommended you look for an established game developer with internship opportunities. Remember, the more practical experience you get, the better.
Often, tech companies value practical experience over study experience, which is something to keep in mind.
4. Decide Your Preference: Work from Home or Work Remotely?
As an IT professional, you will have the luxury of being able to choose between working from home or remotely. Not too bad, right?
